Guess what I got to do for my birthday!

My friend Sean and I are going to put together an album of haikus about our experiences here, for which he coined the term "Iraqu". We're going to compose Iraqus and take funny pictures to illustrate them. It promises to delight and amuse.

| Yesterday I had the day off, for the first time in almost two months. It was beee-yoo-tee-ful. I called my folks at 5:30 am EDT and woke them up, since I didn't get to talk to them for long the last time I called.
While I'm thinking about it, home-cooked meals are the order of the day when I'm home on leave!
